I recently attended the Webmaster conference organized by Google held at Chandigarh, India on 19th June 2019. I came to know about such a conference organized by search engine giant Google from one of the joined Facebook group.
The idea behind publishing this post is to make some awareness of the social interactions from this kind of seminars & conferences for latest update and networking purpose.
And I hopefully mention all my personal experiences and the reason behind attending this conference.
Below is the excerpt of the questionnaire which Google suppose to ask from the prospective webmaster attendees.
As all the rights to attend the conference is held by Google. And the invitation for attending this mega event is only through personal call invitation through email.
I don’t know the selection process but luckily I am shortlisted for the event and informed through the official email sent by The Webmaster Conference team.
This year, Webmaster Conference is held in 15 cities and in five Indian languages — Bengali, Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, and Telugu, besides English.
Webmaster Conference series schedule:
|Mumbai(for women only)
|Bangalore, for women only
Days before the actual conference to be held, a confirmatory email has been sent to each and every attendee just to make sure that how many are actually interested and willing to come to the event.
As I am more than excited to attend this event because I haven’t attended this kind of events before.
Now the event day comes when we have to reach the given venue. I reached the venue which is a 5-star hotel before the reporting time.
There firstly we have to register ourselves. The person from their team gave us a nice carry bag made up of ‘Jute’ with all necessary goodies – Notebook, badge and a customized Google pen in it.
After the registration process, we headed over to the separate hall where the morning breakfast refreshments are going on.
After taking refreshment, the introductory session starts. The agenda for the seminar is as below:
This event even sounds more interesting when we have various sessions from the experts from the Google team. Namely, they are:
- Syed Malik Mairaj (Search Outreach Team – Google Asia Head)
- Pratyusha Simharaju (Search Outreach Strategist – Google Webmaster Console)
- Arjun Narang (Senior Strategist – Trust & Safety)
- Akesh Khandelwal (Publisher Quality – Google AdSense Team)
After a couple of sessions related to content creation, search console, web security & Google Adsense. There the time comes for a group photoshoot.
In meanwhile there they announced the lunch for the attendees. The glimpse of which I have attached below for your representation.
In appreciation from my company where I work, I stood a chance to be highlighted as one of the proactive employees. All this because of the recent visit to the seminar. They also posted it on the company social media pages.
After the event, I have received an email from the Google team for my valuable feedback.
What I Learned From This Event
After attending this event I come to know the following things:
(a) Networking – First and the foremost benefit of attending these kinds of seminars are to make more and more links/connections & try to make network with the enthusiasts who are actually masters of their fieldwork.
(b) What’s happening in the search space – As these sort of conferences especially organized by renowned companies like Google is after proper research analysis by their teams and to create new trends among the online audience. So, as an individual, you can gain as much as you can.
(c) Morale Boosting – These events help one and all, in particular, motivates me a lot to boost your efforts and learn from the past mistakes & make this online space more valuable asset for the one who is looking something amazing on the web rather than just focusing on our own selfish wants.
